The Contest
A place for every storyteller
First story or fiftieth book—whether you live in a big city or on a tiny island—we read without names and the community casts the final vote.
Create freely, be seen fairly.
A new global concept each month—stories and images judged blind, pen names revealed only with the winners.
Clear rules, prompt payouts.
We aim for transparency and openness, because creating together nurtures wellbeing and opens the world.
Why we do what we do—in 200 words
A few years ago I felt emptied out—miscarriages, living abroad, a heart that wouldn’t mend, nights that wouldn’t end. I needed something steady to hold, so I turned back to writing. An online course put me in a room with strangers from everywhere: someone drafting between chemo appointments; a mum writing at nap time; a retiree chasing the book that had waited decades. We swapped pages and, without meaning to, kept one another afloat.
As a photographer and communicator, I wanted to make that room bigger—to share voices from every place and for no one to feel small because of where they come from.
Inspiredia is that room, open and fair. Each month we set a clear concept and a short limit—200 words for stories, 50 words for photo captions—so anyone can begin. Names stay hidden while the community votes; when the count is done, we reveal every author and celebrate the winners. Sponsors fund the prize pool; readers choose what rises. We welcome every level of experience: a Nobel laureate and a first-time writer can stand side by side, equal on the page—just as an amateur photographer can stand alongside an international photo finalist.
Share a piece of your world—or let a character live another life—and it will be weighed by the same community vote.
Why “Inspiredia”? The name blends inspire—to ignite creativity, courage, and new perspectives—with -edia, a nod to encyclopedia. Inspiredia embodies a collective harvest of inspiration and knowledge, nurtured and shared by a global community.
